Lions in the Cape

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin at 2:57 pm on Monday, October 16, 2006

Hi

Something different this time. This weekend I went through to a Lion
sanctuary called http://www.lionrescue.org.za/ It is a sanctuary for abused
or displaced Lions. There are few really sad stories for some of the lions,
but they are all better off now thanks to the park.

It is really worth a visit and your support will help feed the lions. Have a
great week! For pictures click

Cape Town activities runners take note

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin at 5:28 pm on Wednesday, October 11, 2006

Hello!

What a beautiful summer day in Cape Town! On days like this it is really
hard to stay office bound. Nothing major to report today, just a quick
message.

For all the runners out there visiting Cape Town. I can highly recommend
running along the Sea Point promenade in the evenings. Not too hot, and
great views while running next to the sea. Yesterday evening was a perfect
evening to run, no wind, cool air and an awesome sunset.

The route:
If you start running from the Virgin Active in Green Point and run to the
ice-cream shop and back it makes a nice short 5 Kilometer run. On a
different note, I took some great pictures of fog rolling in and covering
the Cape Town CBD and surrounds - enjoy!

I placed the images here:

Cheers for now.

Cape Town hotel update - back from Mauritius

Seven Coloured earth Cat Cruise Mauritius Waterfall Lions head view from Signal HillCape Town City bowl

Long time no blog. I have just come back from Mauritius. What an awesome place! It has been a while since I have taken any form of leave (3 years) and really enjoyed the break. I have attached a few pictures of Mauritius.
Toward the end of the holiday, I was ready to come back to Cape Town. I arrived back to a beautiful sunny city and thought wow this is kind of like Mauritius except for an extremely cold ocean!:-). Sandy white beaches, awesome mountains, we are really privileged to live in a city like this. Now that we are back, it is full steam ahead into our summer and season.
Our site is constantly being updated and is doing well for a young website. Well thats all from me for now – enjoy the pics of Cape Town and a few from Mauritius.

The Cape Doctor has arrived in Cape Town

I know for sure that summer is on its way. When the gale force South Easter returns to Cape Town it is a sure sign that summer is coming. The summer wind is often referred to as the Cape Doctor as it blows all air pollution out to sea.
We also experience a phenomenon called wind shadow in and around the city bowl.  For detailed information on this phenomenon visit
http://www.paraglide-south-africa.com/article-wind-phenomenom.php  With the summer season almost upon us, it would be a good idea to start planning those holidays in advance. Of course you could use our site to assist you with this :-)

I have attached a few pictures – Enjoy!
